Glamping ?

I have never been camping. Ever.  Unless you count sleeping in a trailer at Canton First Monday. Which I don't.
Some good camping is on my bucket list, though. I tried to get my boys to go during Spring Break, even offered to rent a pop up trailer, but because they were afraid it would interfere with their paint ball birthday party, they were not willing to go.  Boys...didn't want to camp?  *shrug*
Now understand, I don't want to just pitch a tent and completely rough it. I do enjoy a few conveniences and comforts so that it doesn't become miserable.  I poked around the internets just for fun and read about Glamping, or "glamorous camping".  If you like the concept of camping but not the down and dirty reality of what it means to really be one with nature, then how about this:

Beautiful and inspiring,  Sinya on Lone Man Creek is just 45 minutes from Austin in the Texas Hill Country.
A luxury safari style tent that offers all the conveniences and comforts of an eco-friendly resort.

A beautiful view, hiking, swimming in the creek, cleaning up in the century old claw-foot tub, A/C and Wi-Fi.. The layers of canvas and hardwood floors are so intriguing. I would love this! This seems to be geared more toward couples than a family getaway.

Quite the opposite are these darling images of  what roughing it looks like in my mind:

Now back to the reality of painting, purging and getting our house ready to list.....the daydream was nice while it lasted.
