The Unique Plant

I'm just back from one of my favorite places, Chapel Hill, NC. During my visit, my BFF took me to her new favorite nursery, The Unique Plant. They specialize in creating gardens with trees, shrubs and flowers unique to the region. I love the restraint used in their gardens. A lot of the color comes from the trees and shrubs rather than flowers. Like in interior design, sometimes it's what you don't use that makes it so special and beautiful. The wandering paths and soft sculptural trees make a trip here a peaceful and somewhat spiritual experience.
