Round Top, Marburger Farm and Antiques Week Fall Shows 2013
Hear that? It's the rattle and hum of excitement rolling into Texas for Antiques Week! Twice a year, the tiny Texas
town of Round Top (population 90) becomes the destination for weekend antique’s
warriors and serious collectors that make the pilgrimage to the now legendary
antique shows that line the rolling hills of Texas State Highway 237 halfway
between Austin and Houston.
Tens of thousands of
shoppers endure the unpredictable Texas weather, heat and dust to experience
the shows with dealers set up in some of the most
creative booths; one could easily find themselves shopping in a barn, a dance
hall, a cow pasture, a tent, a field, a grocery story or a vintage air stream
travel trailer. That’s what makes Round Top one of a kind.

It’s not uncommon to see shoppers arrive by truck, limo or helicopter to experience this show and it's why this quiet stretch of Texas Highway is quickly becoming known as "The Hamptons in the Hill Country".
I'll be there for a day or two, so if you see me, please say hi. Or follow me on Instagram for quick pics of some fun flea market eye candy if you can't make it.
